It had been all too long since Margot was off the island. The day before, Marisol and Gonzalo had called her and Carmen into their office and gave them a task to fulfill. There was a tablet that they needed to retrieve from one of the ruined temples on the island of Cozumel. It seemed easy enough, find the thing and take it back.

Margot stepped off of Alexa's boat with a sketched image of the object in her hand and her phone in the other. Hey, just because she was on a mission didn't mean there wasn't time to tweet. Her followers depended on her. Cozumel was a bit different from their island. More beaches. As she scanned the horizon she could see a rainforest in the distance. This would be fun.

The daughter of Tonaituh, Carmen Ortiz, was so excited to do some mission work. It'd been a while since the last exciting, adventurous thing that happened in Camp Azteca and Carmen was honestly getting a little bored. Not saying that Maggie wasn't interesting don't get me wrong, she just wanted more excitement. Now that she had it, she was smiling from ear to ear.

Wearing her mortal clothing (a yellow blouse, tan capris, teal flats, a floppy sun hat and sunglasses (even though she didn't need)), Carmen looked over at her mission companion, Margot. "This is gonna be hella fun. You don't think we'll run into any trouble do you?" She asked, walking off of Alexa's boat. The island was breath takingly beautiful with all the huts and the clear waters. Her conquest obsidian spear was hidden by the Mist, making it look like a thumb ring. "Muy bontia..."

Margot gave Carmen a knowing look, "Of course we will, I'm here." Let's be honest, if you put Margot in any situation, she will run into trouble. She wasn't even trying half the time, trouble just came to her. "Anyways, where should we start?" Margot looked up and down the beach, searching for anything. Honestly she could go for a big sign that said "TABLET THIS WAY" with an arrow. Maybe there was a souvenir shop somewhere where they could find a map or something. Or directions.

if i could have one power, I would ask for the ability to find anything i wanted. It would help a lot because I lose things all the time.

Carmen knew that look all to well and started laughing. "That's true, that's true. Thanks the gods I brought my spear." That always came in handy know matter where you went. Carmen thought for a while before saying, "Oh, Marisol gave me that map, but I think I left it in my room..."[/color] She took off her tan book bag and started to go through it. "Let's see...bottled waters, a thing of aspirin, snacks, pen, pencil...ah! Here we are." Carmen took out the folded up piece of paper and started to unfold it. "Okay," She opened the map and made sure that Margot had a clear view of it. "We are...here." She pointed to the docks. "If we go northeast and go straight through the rainforest, then we should come to the closest Mayan temple."

Margot watched as Carmen listed out the things she had brought with her. All Margot had brought was her phone, the sketch of the tablet and her bow and quiver full of arrows. She might have a couple pesos in her pocket... anyways. Margot stared at the map and nodded. "Okay, so northeast is..." Margot looked at the position of the sun in the sky, and then ahead of her. "That way?" She guessed, pointing sort of to her right. Listen she was the charismatic people person, not the navigator.

Carmen lightly moved Margot's hand a little bit more to the right before letting go. "There we are." She didn't want to laugh because that would be mean. Instead, she just awkwardly padded her shoulder. "Now, let's go get this Mayan disc and sort of save the camp. Not really, but y'know, Yolo!" She laughed some more walking off in that direction.

"Did you just say yolo?" Margot asked, "God, how am I even friends with you?" They walked along a narrow sidewalk farther away from the coast. The whole place had the same flora and fauna as camp, although she wasn't sure if they had firebreathing bobcats here too. "So there are a total of ten mayan ruins on this island. That means there's a one in ten chance of getting out of here in an hour. Somehow I don't think thats possible." When they came up to the first major street, Margot saw their first challenge. Hundreds of tourists clad in Hawaiian shirts and fanny packs walked the street. Their chances of being caught had now increased dramatically.

Carmen laughed. "Because I'm just a ray of sunshine." She mused, nudging the daughter of Tepeyollotl with her shoulder. The scenery was beautiful and reminded her of Camp Azteca. Minus the drills and the occasional sketcher wearer. "Great! So basically we'll be here all day." She concluded as she made her way through the bustling crowd of travelers with Margot. Once she saw the main crowd, she groaned. "Maybe...Maybe we can still cut through the jungle to get to the first one? It'll be hard, but it's doable."
