shaken not stirred

Fresh off the bus from Berkley was New Rome Sweetheart and rare Australian Theodore Bush. He was planning to just spend the whole week at his brother's house, but then realized that Chef doesn't like when Teddy doesn't show up. And he knew that Chef would find Teddy at his apartment and kill him while he slept.
But why was Teddy at his brother's you may ask? It was mainly because of an awkward encounter/fight between him and his lady person. Teddy never knew what to call her. He worried if he wasn't going to be able to worry what he should call her because he couldn't tell what was going on. And he didn't ask her because he was hiding from her in Berkeley while she did whatever.
He entered the café with his black V-neck under a flannel. He was lucky he didn't have to wear a stupid outfit because he was in the back and no one noticed him. He nodded to Chow as he walked passed him and Roz. He tried his hardest not to look at Roz, though he didn't know why. To respect her he guessed. He wasn't that mad, maybe a little that she just didn't say anything in return, but he didn't know what to do. So instead he did push-ups for Chef as he yelled at Teddy.

After the push-ups, Teddy stood, putting on his apron. Honestly he didn't know how he puts up with Chef. But he realized that maybe he wouldn't be working here for long. Not that he didn't need the money anymore, he really does. But he did move around his classes to start med school. If he studies hard enough he could probably be interning in the hospital by February.
Of course he didn't tell Roz about his sudden higher calling. He hasn't talked to her since Friday. He really wanted to though. They could've celebrated him getting into the med school wing period. With wine and kissing and more things he shouldn't be thinking about while in the back of the crusty kitchen.
"I can't start cooking without orders, Chow>" He yelled. The daily statement normally thrown to Roz, but he didn't want to talk to Roz. Roz's friend, now he could work with that.

Theodore felt chills as Roz handed him the piece of paper. It was if they were strangers, that they never were together, at least her definition of together. He wanted more, if that sounded selfish he could hear it from Norah later. But it's been months and you'd just assume things would get more serious.
Teddy could never be as direct as Roz was. He couldn't just face and not ask to talk about what happened between them. He wanted to fix things, but he wanted to be vindictive. To smile at other girls, but that seemed to mean. And he couldn't just smile at girls he wasn't even over his girl. He can't move on, he doesn't want to move on. He had other ways of trying to be vindictive, and unfortunately it involved going through Chow. He felt bad for his friend, he should buy him something after all of his drama subsided. This is almost as hard as med-school. Subtle Theodore. But he said it loud enough for Chow--oh and for Roz, whoops.

Teddy clentched his jaw as he heard Chow throwing shade at him. It was fine, he didn't care. He just thought in the back of his mind that when Chow takes his lunch break the chef would have something special for him. The special was spit, he would spit in his sandwich. But he didn't have the time to even pay attention to that right now.
What he was more concerned with was what Roz said to him. A lot of things changed over the weekend, The Australian said with a bitter tone in his voice. His face and upper torso popped up at the window that connects him to the waiters, but he did not look happy, wouldn't you say so, love?" Teddy's face had a mixture of emotions going on. When he popping onto the window he looked hurt for the post part, but there was large under tones of pure anger. It wasn't a pretty thing to say the least. And being hurt and being angry are not pretty things that a human had to go through.

You bloody fucking seppo Teddy shouted, he then quickly composed himself so Chef doesn't chop his head off with the sharp butcher knives he could see out of the corner of his eye. He has never cursed like that before, he barely cursed. Norah told him not to curse, Max made fun of him for listening to someone he pretended was his mother. But he turned back to Roz, unafraid of any threat Roz said to him. He's heard these threats before, but in a different setting you can use imagination to find out why. He balled his fists. remembering that Norah would be very unhappy with the way he is handling this situation. But we're never going to talk about it later, eh Roz? You're just going to run away like every other problem you've faced in your little bloody life! He felt like he was relieving all of this pent up anger since Friday.  It felt good, really good actually, but not what his sister-in-law wanted him to do. He didn't care this it what he wanted to do. And he knew that Roz was never going to talk about it with him, for all he knew she would leave New Rome just to avoid it.

There's always someone to save you he cursed under his breath, slamming the tray down on the counter. Somewhere in his mind his subconscious was telling him to stop yelling at Roz and kiss her in the kitchen or something that he's been so used to do in the past.
He walked away from the window, running his hands through his hair. Just coming to work caused so much more stress then just sitting around and filing a crap ton of paperwork. He knew that the stress would disappear if he would just talk about this with his in between romantic partner, but he was too stubborn-they both were so stubborn. Neither of them would ever get over this unless they realized that suggesting to talk would make them the bigger man in the situation. But Teddy's mind was too filled with possible comebacks to Roz to realize that fact.

Teddy refused to eat anything that Chef cooks. Now, he would let strangers eat anything that Chef cooks because that way he has a job and gets paid. But going in his stomach was going to be a peanut butter and banana sandwich he made this morning.
He dropped the plates of food in the window and headed over to the closet where he kept his coat. Inside the coat was his sandwich, don't judge. Unfortunately he had forgotten that during break Roz leaves to cram every bit of law into her head. So, he applied the Roz tactic and that was ignoring her existence completely. Like she did with his feelings, do you get that? He slid past her in the tight closet, moving over to the mossy green coat that belonged to him.

Wait, Teddy reached out, reaching out for Roz's wrist. That was more of an impulse than what he really wanted to do. He wanted to leave, because Roz was right he was wrong. He shouldn't have made a large scene of things, he knew that Roz over worked herself to get to a place that was better than her mother. It was a low blow, he was in the moment, whether he felt like it was okay to say or not. Roz I'm sorry. I was--I am just frustrated. I don't want to be. Teddy pulled her a little closer, looking her in the eye, I shouldn't have said anything since Friday. I messed it all up I get it, I just want to move on--and I don't think I can move on without you.

Teddy exhaled, trying his hardest to keep his composure. Good, he chuckled. His hand dropped from her wrist and moved up to stroke her cheek. Honestly there was no gap in between them at this point. And it was as if at the tension and his frustration lifted off of his shoulders. He repeated himself again before he played with his chances.
Was it the smartest idea to kiss her in his place of work, probably not. But here they were surrounded by coats and lunch boxes, the two could get creative. He didn't really pay attention that he had moved the two of them on top of his co workers coats.
